Ian O'Dwyer

Founder and Director

Co-Founder PTA Global
Movement & Performance Coach
Body worker, Mentor, Author

Ian O’Dwyer, known to many simply as OD, has dedicated over 30 years to exploring the art and science of human movement. As a Movement Coach, Sports Conditioner, Personal Trainer, Body Worker, Global Educator, Author and Mentor, he has built a reputation for helping people move, feel and live better.

For 25 years, Ian founded and led OD on Movement Performance Studio on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, creating a space where innovation and care transformed lives. His impact has stretched worldwide through his work with PT on the Net and as Co-Founder of PTA Global, both of which reshaped education for fitness professionals. Today, he continues this legacy as Co-Founder of Feel SOMA, pioneering practical and progressive approaches to movement, recovery and wellbeing.

What makes OD stand out is his ability to connect. He sees beyond movement alone, recognising the importance of emotional, mental, physical and spiritual balance. His methods focus on fluid flow, neural response and mechanical patterns, creating meaningful and lasting change in individuals, groups and teams.

Respected globally for his authenticity and inclusive style, OD blends curiosity, experience and care into every interaction. His philosophy is simple yet powerful: movement should be practical, enjoyable and deeply human.
