Percussion Gun Library – Small & Large Devices
Percussion is a great priming tool for tissues prior and post exercise, it will help to hydrate and lubricate the tissues (fluid flow) and create mobility (movement) around the area you are working on. Percussion therapy has a more targeted approach and can be very useful if you need to work on a specific area.
Now for the blah, blah, blah!
Feel SOMA’s Percussion Gun Library provides a practical, multi tissued-focused guide to help you improve mobility, reduce tension and enhance whole-body performance using both small and large percussion guns. Each application is designed to stimulate fluid flow, optimise neural response, and restore mechanical patterns so your tissues feel lighter, freer and more resilient.
Whether you’re priming for movement, reconditioning after training, or supporting everyday wellbeing, these guided sequences offer simple, effective ways to improve tissue health, reduce inflammation and accelerate recovery. The library demonstrates how to apply percussion in a safe, intuitive and time-efficient way that complements all Feel SOMA techniques, including Self Osteo Myofascial Applications, mobility strategies and reconditioning programs.
Our small percussion gun applications focus on precision, helping you target the bony locations with control and comfort. The large percussion gun options deliver greater depth and coverage of tissues, ideal for the muscular regions, athletes active individuals or anyone looking to create instant change in larger regions of the body.
Restore tissue balance, enhance movement quality and reconnect with how your body is meant to feel. The Feel SOMA Percussion Gun Library empowers you to create lasting change through intelligent self-care, improved mobility and fluid, efficient movement patterns.
Settings –
Large Device. We recommend you use the large devices with a higher frequency to make the experience more effective and enjoyable. The Lower frequency can feel quite deep in the application and can be less enjoyable. We advise to use the Large device in the side position, this is less invasive for the tissues and isn’t as aggressive as facing the device directly towards the muscle region.
Small Devices are ideal for the bony regions and creating vasodilation in the body. Once again we suggest using a frequency that feels comfortable for the client and use the device laying on its side (as in the video) rather than front on to the bone. If using front on you may experience “bouncing” which wont feel comfortable or enjoyable.
Duration –
We recommend 60 – 90 seconds on each location, making sure that the client is comfortable and focussing on nasal breathing.
